The HEC-SA5000K Sanyo massage chair comes with a Stiffness Detection Sensor. This is a very sophisticated piece of technology that will automatically adapt the chair and the massage to help relax specific areas of the body (it works by monitoring temperature and perspiration during a short evaluation period). The SA5000 also comes with something called GK Roller Technology. This function mimics the grasping and kneading of live massage through finger-like rollers that reach out and massage the shoulders and neck area. It's the implementation of this cutting-edge technology that makes the Sanyo more expensive - and maybe better.
Other things that you can use to cover the bottom of the chair legs are hacky-sack balls, small doll pillows, or even tennis balls. All you have to do is cut a small portion off of the top of each of these items and slide them into the leg.
The position of your feet in sitting is important for your overall balance and stability. Ideally they should be firmly placed on the ground, in order to balance the central core region of your body. However, sitting is a dynamic position in activity; your feet should be moving from one position to another. This means moving them from flat on the floor, to hooking them back on to your chair base. This change in the position of your feet transfers the weight of your body firmly back on your pelvic bones. It promotes an increase in circulation of blood, through unrestricted breathing to your lungs and helps to ease discomforts in your back when prolonged sitting.
